Here we have chosen our top 10 of some of the most exotic and strangest sports cars that you are ever going to see. While none of these cars will make their way into the garage of the average road user, they are worth taking a look at if you have a passion for the weird and wonderful.

1 The Shoe Car

As you might expect with the name the Shoe Car it is just that, a car in the shape of a man’s brown leather shoe. The shoe car comes complete with leather look and stitching, plus laces. Now this is one car that is going to turn heads if you drove down the street

2 The Flatmobile

The Flatmobile has been designed around the 1968 Hillman Imp and comes with the 857cc engine that is standard when bought stock. It was said that the creator of the car is going to install a jet engine in the back so the car can shoot fire from the exhaust.

3 The Brook Swan Car

There is nothing as beautiful or as graceful as a white swan, however, whether the same applies to the Brook Swan car is open to debate. The car has a neat trick in that it can shoot out boiling water from its beak. Cup of tea for the ride anyone?

4 Colim Detachable Caravan

It is a caravan or is it a car? Well actually it’s the Colim detachable caravan that comes with its own detachable living pod, which is very handy. Still just a concept idea but interesting to say the least

5 The Rinspeed Squba

The Rinspeed Squba took inspiration from the Lotus Esprit in the James Bond movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. This Lotus Elise submarine car is electric powered and travels 3km/h with a top speed of 120km/h.

6 The Reliant Robin

The Reliant Robin is unusual when it comes to the fact that the weight of the engine and the one wheel at the front means that the car cannot turn corners all too well and the car has been known to topple over more often than not when taking corners.

7 The Pyramid Dream Car

The Pyramid Dream Car is the baby of George Zanis and he took inspiration from the Egyptians when he designed the car in the shape of a pyramind.

8 Smart Monster Truck

The Smart Monster Truck was designed by someone with a passion for monster trucks but didn’t want the hassle associated with one and so designed it to be able to squeeze into parking spaces sideways, although we’re not sure if that’s still possible after all those mods.

9 Citreon/Michelin PLR

This car was designed by Michelin and the PLR in the name stands for Poids Lourd Rapide, which translates to fast heavy car. It has ten wheels, four wheel steering, two V8 5.7 litre engines and weighs in at more than ten tonnes.

10 The Batman Tumbler 2013 Gumball 3000

The Batman Tumbler 2013 Gumball 3000 was designed by Team Galag from the Middle East to compete in the Gumball 3000 rally and it can seat three people while being powered by a V8 370kW Chevrolet engine.
